Museum Passes
Through a generous grant by Senator Terrence Murphy we are able to offer museum passes. Families will be able to check out passes to one museum at a time, and can reserve the passes for the future. These passes are for Somers residents only, and you will need a valid Library Card to check them out. If you need a Library Card please stop by the Library and get a card at no cost. Click here for more information about each museum.  Please call or visit the library to reserve a pass.

Update Regarding Our Current and Future Services
The library would like to thank our patrons for all of their support during this unprecedented time. Recently, there have been inquiries about what it will take to reopen the physical library building. Our first and foremost concern at the Somers Library is the safety of our community.  Throughout the pandemic, we have reassessed our status through various channels of information, including the Westchester County COVID dashboard, recommendations from the Westchester Library System, and what local libraries are doing. Most libraries in our system have remained at curbside service; there have been several who have been required to close because staff members tested positive for COVID or were required to quarantine because of exposure. As of this moment, our neighboring libraries in Katonah, Lewisboro, North Salem, and Yorktown remain at curbside status as well.

Curbside service has been enormously successful and we are pleased patrons are taking advantage of print, digital, and electronic content as well as attending our virtual programs. We continue to assess the execution of services to ensure that we serve the community in the safest possible way.  For more information about curbside pick-up and virtual programs, please visit www.somerslibrary.org.

I am always happy to speak with community members about anything and everything related to our amazing library. Please feel free to email me at somersdirector@wlsmail.org or call the main number at 914-232-5717.
Jennifer Daddio, Director
